현재 진행 중인 프로젝트 중 가장 먼저 완공을 앞두고 있는 제주 A 프로젝트.

지난 4년간 30여 차례에 걸친 제주도 현장 방문과 협의가 이루어 졌는데, 그 과정에서 제주의 매력을 좀 더 깊게 이해하고 사랑하게 되었습니다. 우리나라의 소중한 자산인 제주의 아름다운 환경에 누가 되지않고, 조금이나마 기여할 수 있는 건축을 하고자 하였습니다. 제주 고유의 기후 특성을 자연스럽게 수용하기 위해 로비를 코트야드 형태의 열린 공간으로 계획하여, 방문객들이 제주 바람과 빛, 그리고 사계절의 변화를 느낄 수 있도록 하는 데 주안점을 두었습니다.
Jeju A Project, the first among our ongoing works to approach completion.
Over the past four years, the project has involved more than thirty site visits and extensive collaboration, through which we developed a deeper understanding and appreciation of Jeju. Our ambition was to create architecture that does not burden the island’s remarkable natural environment, but rather contributes, however modestly, to its enduring value as one of Korea’s most precious landscapes.
Responding to Jeju’s distinctive climate was a central design consideration. The lobby was conceived as an open courtyard space, allowing visitors to experience the island’s ever-changing wind, light, and atmosphere throughout the seasons. Rather than separating architecture from nature, the project seeks to frame and amplify the sensory qualities of its surroundings, creating a place where landscape, climate, and architecture become inseparable parts of a single experience.
