Anyang Benest Clubhouse Renovation (2025)
The renovation of the Anyang Benest Clubhouse was carried out over the course of approximately one year, guided by the principle of respecting the existing architecture and structure as much as possible. Rather than substantially altering its original framework, the project sought to carry forward the layers of time and the sense of place embedded within it.
Drawing on the east-facing orientation of this historic clubhouse, which has long been part of Korea’s golfing heritage, the design allows the early morning light—when most members arrive—to filter deeply through the timber louvers. As the light and shadow shift throughout the morning, they create a subtle rhythm within the space and shape a memorable atmosphere upon arrival.
At the center of the space, a deer sculpture by Japanese artist Kohei Nawa (1975–) is placed alongside a reception desk carved from natural stone. Early morning light, art, and natural materials come together to create a welcoming setting for golfers as they begin their day.
안양 베네스트 클럽하우스 리뉴얼 (2025)
기존 건축물의 모습과 구조를 최대한 존중하고, 기존의 틀을 크게 변화시키기보다 그 안에 담긴 시간과 장소의 의미를 이어가는 것을 원칙으로 안양 베네스트 클럽하우스 리뉴얼 프로젝트를 약 1년간 진행하였다.
한국 골프 역사와 함께해 온 유서 깊은 클럽하우스의 동향 배치를 활용하여, 골프 회원들이 주로 찾는 이른 아침의 자연광이 우드 루버 사이로 깊숙이 스며들도록 계획하였다. 시간에 따라 변화하는 빛과 그림자는 공간에 리듬을 만들며, 방문객이 처음 마주하는 인상적인 아우라를 형성한다.
공간의 중심에는 일본 작가 코헤이 나와(Kohei Nawa, 1975–)의 사슴 조각과 자연석을 다듬어 만든 프론트 데스크를 배치하였다. 이른 아침의 빛과 예술, 그리고 자연이 어우러져 골퍼들을 맞이하는 공간을 완성한다.
