Study Model of Sunhye-won
The design of SK Sunhye-won began in 2018 and was completed after a seven-year process. On the site of a former Western-style residence, three traditional hanok houses were organically arranged atop a contemporary architectural structure. Gyeongheung-gak, Harindang, and Dongyeoru are organized in a U-shape around the lawn, clearly defining spatial hierarchy and creating natural circulation. Connections extending to the basement integrate the lobby, exhibition spaces, and multipurpose areas into a continuous architectural experience. SKM Architects aimed not merely to construct a building, but to revive the memory of nature and tradition, reinterpreting the spirit of the place.

2018년에 설계를 시작하여 7년간의 과정을 거쳐 SK 선혜원이 완공되었다. 원래 양옥 저택이 있던 자리에 세 채의 전통 한옥을 현대 건축 구조 위에 유기적으로 배치하였다. 경흥각, 하린당, 동여루는 ㄷ자 형태로 잔디마당을 둘러싸며, 공간 위계를 명확히 드러내고 자연스러운 동선을 형성한다. 지하층까지 이어지는 연결을 통해 로비, 전시관, 다목적 공간 등 다양한 프로그램이 하나의 연속된 건축적 경험으로 통합된다. SKM Architects는 단순히 건물을 짓는 것이 아니라, 자연과 전통의 기억을 현재로 불러와 장소의 정신을 새롭게 쓰는 프로젝트를 구현하였다.
